BIBS AND BRACES
Adding bibs to trousers and skirts makes the garment more fun to wear, and extra buttonholes in the braces allow plenty of room for growth. Two, or even three, buttonholes can be made on the end of the braces, and if the braces button at the back (as on the girl's Pinafore Dress) extra buttonholes can be added to the other end as well.
